Asia Pacific ex-Japan markets outperformed their global counterparts, bolstered by strong price returns in China and Hong Kong which were up 7.3% and 6% in USD terms respectively. All markets (with the exception of Malaysia) posted positive total returns in July but those in the ASEAN region lagged the overall benchmark having been amongst the top performers year-to-date.
